Publish Date: 2004-04-01
Features: Based on the 2003 National Judicial Examination Legal Regulations Compilation for the Ministry of Justice National Judicial Examination, this book adds new and important laws and judicial interpretations, such as the Administrative Licensing Law, the Supreme People's Court's judicial interpretations on civil procedures, personal injury compensation, and the application of the Marriage Law. The main focus of the judicial examination is on legal provisions, and the tested provisions are primarily concentrated on important laws and key provisions of judicial interpretations. This has become a common understanding among candidates. One of the features of this book is the organization of all judicial examination questions (including the bar examination) from 1990 to 2003, with question numbers appended to the relevant provisions based on the examination points. One of the purposes of doing this is to allow readers to intuitively understand, during use, which provisions of laws or judicial interpretations are frequently tested and which are rarely addressed. This way, during the review process, readers can allocate time and effort more reasonably, target their studies effectively, and achieve twice the result with half the effort. The second purpose is to help readers deepen their understanding of legal provisions by practicing past examination questions. When practicing past questions, we find that some questions, although all testing the same provision, focus on different examination points. Some questions may appear different on the surface but actually assess the same knowledge point from different angles, while some questions are almost identical. To a certain extent, after practicing past examination questions, there is little need to do a large number of mock questions. Here, we would like to remind readers that we have also published a companion book, New Solutions to Past Judicial Examination Questions (1993–2003), which provides detailed answers to the past 10 years of judicial examination questions based on current laws and judicial interpretations, organized by year and examination paper. These two books can be used together during the review process. Different provisions of the same law, different laws within the same department, and different laws within China's legal system are not isolated but interconnected. As the difficulty of the judicial examination continues to increase, comprehensive questions that span different provisions, chapters, and laws are becoming more common. Developing the ability to integrate and apply knowledge is crucial in the learning process. The second feature of this book is the cross-referencing of related provisions of major laws and judicial interpretations. This ensures the completeness of the provisions while also linking related provisions and knowledge points together. To be honest, the goal of publishing this book is to make it the best reference book in its category.
