Features: Children are parents' sweet burden, bringing us joy and worry, always on our minds, always. Family and parenting issues have always been a focus for us. Since starting to create the "Worried Student" comic in 1996, the "Worried Student" family has published 12 volumes so far. This year, Zhonghua Book Company and People's Literature Publishing House in mainland China have introduced the "Worried Student" series to mainland readers in simplified Chinese. The comic bridges the gap, allowing parents on both sides of the strait to celebrate themselves and care for the next generation—it's the happiest thing for me. Four-panel comics come in many types and styles, but the key to attracting readers always boils down to three "ones": "one" sharp, "one" laugh, and "one" seamless flow. Ye Shi's "Worried Student" is a standout in this genre. Renowned writer Wang Zengqi once had an opinion on "fiction": fiction talks about life, not makes up stories; fiction should be sincere, not play tricks. Of course, fiction requires skill, but rhetoric should be rooted in sincerity. In fact, no art creation can escape this iron law. What makes the "Woried Student" comics so good is that they convey the authentic, unfiltered essence of "life." This life features characters like fathers, mothers, sisters, teachers, and classmates, and includes elements like TV, electronic toys, exams, and homework. Through Ye Shi's delicate and profound observations, you can't help but admit that she understands children, understands adults, and understands our society even better.
