Does high blood sugar always require medication?

Patient's question:

I didn't feel much, but since 2004, my blood test results have shown slightly elevated blood sugar. It was 7.05 (in 2004), 6.81, 6.6 (in 2005), 6.4 (in 2006), 6.86 (in 2007), and 6.8 (in 2009).

Doctor's answer:

It is still important to pay attention to timely dietary regulation, which is quite good.
Generally speaking, it is still possible to consider using a bit of onion, bamboo shoots, and bitter melon, which is quite good, so there shouldn't be too much of a problem. It can still be monitored for now. If it's not well-controlled, medication control can be considered.
