Features: As a professional science and technology publisher in China's information industry, we have always been focused on the development direction of global electronic information technology and consistently placed the introduction of outstanding foreign textbooks and professional books on electronic and communication information technology as a key part of our work. Between 2000 and 2001, our press successively introduced and published over 40 textbooks from world-renowned publishing companies, forming a series titled "Foreign Computer Science Textbooks" that was well-received and praised by universities and research institutions across the country, gaining strong affirmation from a broad range of computer science educators and researchers. The book is divided into 5 chapters, covering fundamental and classic content in semiconductor device electronics, including modern electronics, semiconductor bulk properties, PN junctions, bipolar junction transistors (BJT), and metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFET). Starting from charge and electric fields, it systematically explains semiconductor bulk properties and device theory, eventually delving into the analysis of two fundamental types of transistors (BJT and MOSFET) and comparing their performance. The book also places special emphasis on SPICE analysis methods, which are rarely found in similar domestic books. Before its official publication, the author had used this material to teach at the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Minnesota in the United States for many years. The book incorporates the author's teaching experience and feedback from students, with carefully arranged content, concise text, accurate and easy-to-understand formula derivations, clear illustrations, and numerous solved problems, making it highly suitable for teaching purposes. The summaries, review points, and exercises at the end of each chapter help readers better understand and master the basic concepts, enabling them to apply them flexibly in engineering practice.
