The English-Chinese part of this glossary is arranged in alphabetical order; compound words are listed in their original form without inversion. The Chinese-English part is arranged in pinyin order; Arabic numerals, English, Latin, Greek, and annotations in square brackets are disregarded when sorting. When the same English name has multiple meanings, different Chinese names for these meanings are separated by ①, ②, etc. When the same Chinese name corresponds to one or more English synonyms, the English terms are separated by semicolons. Recommended translations are marked with an asterisk ().
