High ear pressure, how to treat it well

Patient's question:

I have had high ear pressure for a long time. In enclosed places like cars, long-distance buses, and airplanes, my ears always feel uncomfortable. It's like having water in them, similar to the feeling when you submerge your head in water while taking a bath—it's very uncomfortable. Before, it wasn't this severe, but now I'm becoming more sensitive. I don't know what to do.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, consider the possibility of secretory otitis media causing.
1.1% ephedrine solution or furacilin ephedrine solution, chloramphenicol ephedrine solution for nasal drops.
2. Eustachian tube ventilation: Methods include the pinch-nose-blowing method, swallowing-induced ventilation method, or catheter ventilation method. Avoid using these methods when combined with acute upper respiratory tract infection.
3. Infrared or ultrashort wave diathermy, to improve middle ear blood circulation and promote the resolution of mucosal edema.
Drain middle ear effusion:
1. Tympanic membrane puncture for fluid aspiration
2. Tympanostomy
3. Middle ear tube insertion
