Features: With the acceleration of the process of tax legalization in China, the state has been emphasizing the obligations of taxpayers while placing increasing importance on their rights. However, even if the law grants taxpayers more rights, the right to assistance remains an empty right, unable to be truly implemented. Taxpayers need someone to help them realize their rights, and such individuals are what we propose as tax lawyers. Tax lawyers are professionals who assist taxpayers in realizing their rights. The term "tax lawyer" here refers to a broad sense of tax lawyers, not specifically legal professionals with a lawyer's qualification engaged in tax-related litigation. Any professional, such as a certified public accountant, registered tax agent, or lawyer, who serves the interests of taxpayers, is considered a tax lawyer in our context. Legally, a suspect must have a lawyer defend for them to ensure that the punishment for the suspect stays within the legal scope, achieving justice and fairness. "Defending" for the interests of taxpayers is a key responsibility of tax lawyers. Tax lawyers must be proficient in tax law and related knowledge, capable of planning for the interests of taxpayers, and, when necessary, communicating with, negotiating with, and participating in litigation with tax authorities.
