Features: In recent years, with the growth of privately run educational institutions and an increasing number of students, more and more students have requested taking practice tests before exams to consolidate and improve their knowledge. To meet the urgent needs of students, we have organized the compilation of the "Basic English" Exercise Book. The "Basic English" Exercise Book has two main features: First, the difficulty level and question types of the exercises are similar to those of the actual exam, allowing candidates to understand the difficulty of the questions through practice and identify their weaknesses. At the same time, students can become familiar with the question types through practice, which helps them prepare mentally for the future exam. Second, based on the practical requirement that some of the test questions come from the "Basic English" and textbooks, most of the content of questions I, II, III, IV, and V in the exercise book is derived from the textbooks. This way, when students are doing the exercises, they are not only reviewing the textbook content but also self-assessing their mastery of it. Additionally, teachers can use this exercise book in class to test and assess students' understanding of the textbook content. At the same time, this exercise book can also serve as a basis for teachers to create mid-term and final exam questions. This can help standardize the question standards across schools while also providing a cross-sectional understanding of the teaching conditions in different schools.
