Features: Over the past 15 years, I have shifted my focus from merely studying one federal system—the federal system of the United States—to conducting comparative research and reflection on the characteristics of various federal systems. My personal curiosity led me to explore to what extent the American system, as "everyone" calls it, is special, unique, and distinct, and to what extent it resembles other federal systems. My aim is to propose more complex comparative questions rather than simple ones, perhaps satisfying curiosity about all political issues. I am very pleased to find that my plan provides a place for these inquiries. After reading books on federal systems, I also discovered that there is room in my plan for these explorations. This book includes: The Origins of Federalism and Governmental Forms; Federalist Thought; Federalist Resolutions; Federalism, Conflict Resolution, and Political Integration, among other content.
