Features: To help students better understand these classic works, our press has also launched two textbooks, "Introduction to Chinese Literary Classics" and "Introduction to Foreign Literary Classics," written specially by experts. The appreciation articles in these textbooks are not bound by any single perspective, which is beneficial for broadening students' thinking and developing their ability for independent thinking. We hope that this series of books published by our press will bring great benefits to primary and secondary school students. The Ministry of Education has recently issued the "Full-time Compulsory Education Chinese Language Curriculum Standards" and the "General High School Chinese Language Curriculum Standards." The new curriculum standards serve as the basis for teaching, examinations, and question-setting. Compared to the previous teaching syllabi for Chinese language texts, the new standards enhance the modern awareness of Chinese language courses, actively promote new learning methods for Chinese language courses, and actively reform evaluation methods. They aim to cultivate students' humanities literacy and enable them to have more direct contact with Chinese language materials. One of the overall goals of the new curriculum standards is to increase the amount of extracurricular reading, allowing students to understand and appreciate classic works and outstanding poetry and prose.
