Features: Zisheng Ji was compiled in the 19th year of the Guangxu reign (1893 AD) during the Qing Dynasty, with the author remaining anonymous. The book consists of six volumes. Volume 1 and Volume 2 provide a general discussion on the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases related to the "Bai Dài" (uterus and ovaries), detailing both oral and external treatment methods. Volume 3, Volume 4, and Volume 5 summarize the etiology and treatment of prepartum, labor, and postpartum conditions, while Volume 6 discusses gynecological miscellaneous diseases. Before each section, the author cites the views of predecessors, followed by effective prescriptions from various schools. Starting from Volume 2 ("Lei Xia" - leucorrhea), it includes annotations by Shen Zhai. The entire book features double-column marginal notes and marginal comments, all attributed to an anonymous annotator. The book records dozens of common gynecological conditions such as menstrual regulation, amenorrhea, metrorrhagia, leucorrhea, hyperemesis, uterine prolapse, abdominal distension, uterine gas, abdominal pain, and lower back pain. It is comprehensive in theory, methods, and prescriptions, reflecting distinctive treatment approaches with clinical reference value. The book particularly emphasizes the use of rhubarb in treating amenorrhea. The author categorizes amenorrhea into three types: blood depletion, blood stagnation, and phlegm accumulation. For blood depletion caused by stomach heat and dryness, Yuzhu Powder is prescribed; for that caused by heart fire ascending to the uterine ligaments, Sanhe Decoction is used; and for that caused by insufficient heart-spleen function with excessive heart fire, Eryang Powder and Eryqi Pills are recommended. This book was compiled based on the Guangxu Gui Si manuscript preserved by Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
