Features: Seeing English enthusiasts trapped in the dilemma of painfully memorizing words day after day, I felt it was my responsibility to help them make learning English a (relaxing and enjoyable) experience. Therefore, I decided to write a vocabulary manual that breaks away from traditional models. Little did I know that this would turn into an unstoppable endeavor. Starting from junior high vocabulary, to high school vocabulary, then college level CET-4 vocabulary, and finally CET-6 vocabulary, it took nearly two years to complete this series of "Practice Speaking and Memorize Words" books. This series dedicated to readers can be considered an innovation in English vocabulary learning and has the following features:
1. Innovative Concept: Every entry in this series appears in the form of small dialogues from daily life.
2. Three-in-One Approach: "Opening the ears, activating the tongue, and strengthening vocabulary" are the three goals of "Practice Speaking and Memorize Words."
"Opening the ears" refers to improving listening skills while memorizing words through dictation of dialogues from the accompanying audio cassettes. "Activating the tongue" means imitating the pronunciation and intonation of the dialogues in the audio, so that with each word memorized, you also remember everyday spoken scenarios, thereby subconsciously improving your speaking skills. Memorizing words is also achieved through dictation and imitation, and with the help of scenarios, not only will you firmly remember the words, but you will also be able to master their usage in specific contexts.
3. Step-by-Step Progression: This is a tiered vocabulary series. Junior high vocabulary includes 1,323 entries, high school vocabulary includes 1,998 entries, CET-4 vocabulary includes 2,473 entries, and CET-6 vocabulary includes 2,368 entries.
4. Original Team: All dialogues in this series are created by language experts from English-speaking countries. The choice of authors from English-speaking countries is because they not only use authentic English but also reflect the characteristics of English culture in the dialogues. Additionally, all foreign authors have studied Chinese or other foreign languages and have firsthand experience in learning foreign languages. This allows them to truly approach the creation from the perspective of learners, ensuring that the series remains fresh and authentic.
