Features: Jiming Series. To review the achievements of our research center and further promote the study of modern and contemporary Chinese literature, we have begun compiling and publishing the "Nanjing University Chinese Modern Literature Research Center Library" Jiming Series this year. The series is named "Jiming," which naturally brings to mind its local characteristics (Nanjing has Jiming Mountain and Jiming Temple), but also implies the meaning of praising diligence and conscience (as the saying goes, "At the crow of the dawn, one rises and strives for goodness") and calling for freedom and light (as the saying goes, "In the gloom of wind and rain, the crowing continues"). However, for our research center, it primarily stems from the ambition to establish an academic highland. Secondly, we chose the name "Jiming" because there is a Jiming Temple on Jiming Mountain, and within the Jiming Temple, there is a Huoming Pavilion. Huoming is now called Enlightenment. Lastly, the character "ming" in "Jiming" still holds an inexplicable allure for scholars and students to this day.
