Features: When I quietly reminisce about the past, especially when I tightly close my eyes, as soon as my heart stirs, so many faces of kind-hearted people appear in my mind. I have met them unexpectedly on the road of life and have formed close friendships with many of them. Memories follow one another, each more beautiful than the last. It seems as if I just spoke with them yesterday, and I can still feel the warmth of their hands. The content of this book: I seem to still hear Charlot's cheerful laughter, Théophile's sarcastic wit, and Holà's gentle conversation. At such moments, I feel that it would be a pity not to record something about the time spent with them—whether a few words, a short story, or an amusing anecdote. They are all extremely kind and interesting people. Among those who have formed friendships with them and are quite familiar with their literary careers, I may be the last one. I am also the last person who can record the fading old stories, until one day I too will join their silent and invisible ranks.
