Features: Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is the application of rapidly developing wireless communication technology in computer networks. It adopts wireless multiple access channel methods to support communication between computers and provides implementation methods for mobile communication, personal communication, and multimedia applications. At the same time, the security of wireless local area networks has also been brought to the agenda. The application of wireless local area networks in China is currently in its early stages. If existing international standards are followed, it will inevitably lead to some security issues. Therefore, it is imperative to promptly develop and promote China's independent, internationally compatible security wireless local area network standards. This book is based on the "863" high-tech project and is dedicated to the research of wireless local area network security technology in China. During the project research and writing process, the continuous improvement of new international wireless local area network standards has provided valuable references for wireless local area network security technology. We actively tracked and adopted relevant technologies from international standards, conducted in-depth research and implementation of established security technologies, and on this basis, strive to provide necessary theoretical and technical support for the development of China's security wireless local area network standards, gradually participating in the discussion and formulation of international standards and proposing innovative insights. This book focuses on the IEEE 802.11 series standards to study wireless local area network security systems. The book is divided into three parts—upper, middle, and lower—and primarily discusses the basic theories and practical applications of wireless local area network security systems, including an overview of wireless local area network standards, IEEE 802.11 standards, wireless local area network key management protocols, RADIUS protocols, RC4 algorithms, TKIP cryptographic protocols, AES algorithm analysis, WRAP and CCMP cryptographic protocols, ECC systems, implementation solutions for secure wireless local area networks, embedded hardware design for wireless local area network APs and network cards, software implementation of the IEEE 802.11 MAC layer, implementation of wireless local area network security authentication and key management systems, and the implementation of RADIUS servers in WLANs. This book can serve as a reference for engineering technicians and researchers in the field of network communication, as well as for undergraduate and graduate students in communication and information systems at universities.
