Features: "She is used to walking left, he is used to walking right, and they never met." This book is the first long-form graphic novel by Jimi to explore romantic relationships between men and women. The intricate connections between the male and female protagonists in their daily lives form the design of the entire story. The transitions between pages are cleverly arranged, with finer attention paid to linework and coloring. The technique is agile and varied, making it one of Jimi's more mature works and one of his representative pieces.
Jimi explains that the inspiration for this book came from one day being unable to paint due to the noise of a neighboring electric drill, forcing him to start daydreaming and letting his thoughts wander wildly. Suddenly, he realized he didn’t know who lived next door, yet they slept separated only by a thin wall each day. If they met outside by chance, and neither ever mentioned where they lived, they might never see each other again—or realize that they were neighbors all along.
