Features: The Acupuncture and Moxibustion Meridian Point Atlas is an important reference material for acupuncture teaching and clinical practice. The compilation of a set of wall charts modeled after the human body, accurately marking meridian points, holds profound significance for the development of acupuncture. This atlas marks and introduces 430 human meridian points, including all 361 meridian points from the 14 meridians and 69 commonly used, clinically proven extra-meridian points. The locations of the meridian points are primarily based on the international standard acupuncture point names published by WHO in 1991. For some extra-meridian points and other meridian points not included in the "International Standard Acupuncture Point Names," reference was made to other literature and the fifth edition of the "Meridian Point Textbook" to ensure the accuracy of every marked meridian point. Additionally, it is worth noting that the 361 meridian points shown in the atlas are not connected by the surface circulation lines of the meridians they belong to. To be precise, these differently colored lines should be referred to as "meridian point connections." Unlike the complex, intersecting, and highly branched surface circulation lines of the meridians, these connections clearly indicate the meridian affiliation of each point and also relatively clearly mark the general direction of the 14 meridians' circulation. Practical experience has shown that this method of marking meridian points is beneficial for learning and use.
