Acupuncture Meridian Chart: Female

Author: Editorial Committee of "Acupuncture and Moxibustion Meridian Point Atlas"

Publishing Date: 2004-01-01
Features: This atlas marks and introduces 430 human acupoints, including all 361 meridian points of the 14 meridians and 69 commonly used, clinically proven extra-meridian extraordinary points. The locations of most acupoints are based on the "International Standard Acupuncture and Moxibustion Point Names" published by WHO in 1991. For some extra-meridian extraordinary points not included in the "International Standard Acupuncture and Moxibustion Point Names," other literature sources and the 5th edition of "Acupointology" were referenced to ensure the accuracy of every marked acupoint. Additionally, it should be noted that the 361 meridian points shown in the atlas are not connected by the surface course lines of their respective meridians. More accurately, these differently colored lines should be referred to as meridian point connection lines. Unlike the complex, intersecting, and highly branched surface course lines of the meridians, these lines more clearly and distinctly indicate the meridian affiliation of each point, while also relatively clearly showing the general direction of the 14 meridians' course. Practical experience has proven that this method of marking meridian points is beneficial for learning and use.
