Features: The content of this book is divided into three main parts: the first part is the "Philosophical Works" from 1663 to 1671; the second part is marked as "Leibniz's Opposition to Descartes and the Cartesian School" from 1677 to 1702; the third part is the "Philosophical Essays" from 1684 to 1703. The chapters in this book are from the latter half of the third part, namely Groups V to VIII. Group V includes the "New System" text in this book up to the "Explanation of the New System" articles. In the original book, the "Draft of the New System" was placed before the main text of the "New System," but in this translation, it has been moved to the end. Group VII includes the "Explanation (Four)" to "Explanation (Six)." Group VIII includes the "Explanation (Seven)" to "Explanation (Eight)."
