Features: The Technical Handbook of Thermal Power Generation Equipment is a comprehensive technical reference that systematically summarizes the main contents of various professional technologies in thermal power generation equipment. The entire handbook summarizes the practical experience in developing thermal power generation equipment in China since the 1980s, featuring rich, practical, and advanced technology. The handbook is divided into four volumes: Boiler, Steam Turbine, Automatic Control, and Thermal Power Station System and Auxiliaries. This book is the Boiler Volume. It focuses on the overall layout, performance calculations, structural design and features of various components, as well as related systems of power station boilers. The book is divided into twenty-two chapters. The main content includes boiler overall design, fuel, material balance and heat balance, boiler thermal calculations, water dynamics calculations, pulverizing system calculations, boiler frame calculations, strength calculations, ventilation calculations, design of boiler furnace and combustion equipment, evaporation systems, superheaters, reheaters, economizers, air preheaters, and the structural layout and design of these major components. It also introduces the manufacturing processes and characteristics of computer-aided design and manufacturing for these components. Finally, it provides examples of the typical designs of 300MW once-through boilers and natural circulation boilers, as well as 600MW control circulation boilers, which are the main units in current thermal power station construction in China. This handbook is primarily intended for use by technical personnel engaged in design, manufacturing, operation, research, and management in the thermal power generation industry. It can also serve as a reference for faculty and students of relevant higher education institutions.
