What should I do if my child has frequent urination, followed by a delay in urination after feeling tense?

Patient's question:

The child has been experiencing some frequent urination, and there is a delay in urination when nervous. The underwear has a strong odor. On December 9th, a detailed urine test revealed a urinary tract infection, and the doctor prescribed the following Western medicine:
Western medicine prescription:
JY fosfomycin tromethamine powder 3g (30 million units) - 3 bottles, 3g per time, once daily
Yinqinglin granules (sugar-free type) - 3g × 10 bags, 1 box, 1 bag per time, twice daily
After taking the medicine, the bacterial count returned to normal. On December 17th, the test results showed only inflammation, and the doctor confirmed the diagnosis as chronic cystitis. The doctor prescribed the same medication as before but added an extra day of anti-inflammatory treatment.
On December 31st, the follow-up test showed no inflammation. I have already sent you the test results for review. Could you please help me take a look and advise on the next steps of treatment? I visited another hospital, where the doctor recommended taking 10 days of cefixime. My child is 17 years old and currently in senior high school. Is it safe to take antibiotics? Will it lead to drug resistance? Should I continue with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment or Western medicine treatment now? Could you give me some better advice? Thank you!

Doctor's answer:

From your description of your child's condition, if it is diagnosed as a urinary tract infection, it can generally be completely cured through treatment. If it is considered chronic cystitis, long-term medication treatment is required. If it is currently diagnosed as chronic cystitis, if the bacterial count has returned to normal, treatment can be carried out by taking antibiotics in conjunction with the use of traditional Chinese medicine. There should absolutely be no aftereffects.
