What should be done if a 50-day-old baby's left ventricle development is incomplete?

Patient's question:

The child was born about two months ago. Yesterday, I took her to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor said that the left ventricle of the baby is not developing very well and asked us to prepare mentally. In the future, her physical resistance and various aspects may not be as good as those of her peers. I am very anxious and don't know what to do. What should I do if the left ventricle of the child is not developing properly?

Doctor's answer:

The heart is a vital organ in the human body. If an infant suffers from congenital heart disease, their physical condition is much weaker than that of a typical child. Whether they can endure the surgery and whether they can pass the post-surgery infection-fighting stage are both unknowns. The baby should currently be sleeping for 18-22 hours, and it is normal for them to sleep during all other times except for feeding and bathroom breaks. It will get better; around the second month, the sleep time will be approximately 18 hours. The heart issue can wait until the baby is 6 months old to have an ultrasound examination at the hospital.
