The guiding principle for the composition of the authors was to unite the strength of the nation, combining scholars of all ages to collaboratively write the book. Therefore, all invited participants in the writing of this book are highly academic-level experts and scholars with certain reputation in specific fields of imaging medicine. This book primarily reflects the new level of contemporary imaging development. For various imaging technologies, examination methods, new signs, new theories, and new treatment methods that have been or will be used in clinical practice, it provides a relatively detailed introduction based mainly on domestic data. For some technologies and methods that have been phased out or are about to be abandoned, they are only briefly described as a stage in the long history of development. When describing the imaging manifestations of diseases, attention is paid to the relationship between commonality and individuality, so that readers can correctly grasp the general imaging patterns of diseases. Based on common and frequently occurring diseases, the book also provides concise and brief descriptions of rare and uncommon diseases, hoping that it will not only be a standardized reading material for imaging medicine but also serve as an imaging medicine dictionary, achieving the purpose of practicality. The book strives for concise, brief, fluent, and well-structured descriptions with logical coherence and continuity. Nomenclature and terminology are strictly standardized to ensure consistency throughout the book, avoiding colloquial language to enhance readability. In summary, we strive to make the content of the book scientifically sound, advanced, authoritative, and practical, making it a high-level, high-quality, and high-standard large-scale reference book for imaging medicine.
