It synthesizes the doctrines of various pre-Qin schools, making it a valuable resource for studying the thoughts of the Hundred Schools of Thought today. Therefore, later scholars have highly evaluated it. This edition of Lüshi Chunqiu is based on the Twenty-Two Masters compilation from the early years of the Guangxu era published by the Zhejiang Book Bureau. It references works such as Lüshi Chunqiu Jiaoshi (Commentary and Explanation) compiled by Chen Qiyou, Lüshi Chunqiu annotated by Gao You, and Lüshi Chunqiu Yizhu (Translation and Annotation) by Zhang Shuangdi et al.
