Features: The happiness of a family depends on the physical health of its members. The healthy bodies of family members are a strong guarantee of family happiness. As an important indicator of social development, the right to health has never been more widely recognized today, becoming a fundamental ethical principle. Just like the right to survival, the value of the right to health is undergoing a qualitative leap. As early as in 1977, the World Health Organization called on countries to achieve "Health for All by the Year 2000." Now, in the golden autumn of 2002, a group of experts and scholars painstakingly compiled this "English Photocopy Series of Practical Books," which is a concrete outcome of practicing this call and is presented to a wide readership.
This series reflects three key aspects:
1. Scientificity: The first volume, titled "Family Health," covers themes such as dietary health, exercise health, mental health, first-aid health, sexual health, and reproductive health. It elaborates on the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of health, highlighting the comprehensive and complete meaning of health in modern society.
2. Practicality: The second volume, titled "Daily Health Care," includes topics such as preventive health care, medical care when seeking treatment, disease and self-diagnosis, self-care, travel health care, dietary health care, therapeutic health care, physical therapy, traditional therapy, and massage therapy. It emphasizes the importance of adopting lifestyles and habits that benefit both mental and physical health, showcasing the trajectory of the transformation in health concepts.
3. Operationality: The third and fourth volumes, titled "Disease Treatment," cover topics such as pediatric diseases, gynecological diseases, male diseases, elderly health care, skin diseases, hair and nail diseases, eye diseases, ear diseases, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, blood diseases, digestive and nutritional diseases, urinary system diseases, metabolic diseases, musculoskeletal diseases, and infectious diseases. These volumes strive to explain profound medical theories in a concise and clear manner, addressing readers' concerns and providing medical insights that patients can understand. They offer both treatment methods and precautions, enabling readers to grasp practical medical techniques and preventive measures.
