Features: An international drug smuggling group operating mainly in the Middle East is discovered by Tintin and Snowy. They smuggle opium in crab cans and use a red-clawed crab as their symbol. Tintin is kidnapped by the gangsters to the sea and, during his escape, meets the brave Captain Haddock, who becomes his lifelong close friend. While chasing the gangsters, they travel from the scorching Sahara Desert to the Moroccan port. There, they work together to dismantle the drug smuggling group. In this issue, one of the most memorable scenes is when Dupond and Dupont encounter a mirage in the desert, which is quite amusing.
