Features: This work demonstrates that Yuan Shikai was not without options, but blinded by profit, he ultimately fell into isolation and condemnation from history. This was not accidental. His skillful manipulation of political tactics and repeated major political gambles clearly showed that he was an unscrupulous senior politician. In the end, he not only failed to become a hero of the era but was not even considered a rogue or a cunning villain. Instead, he merely became a minstrel in the political arena, a shameless clown.
