Features: This book analyzes a series of issues faced in the implementation of the Western Development Strategy from a new perspective. It points out that in the context of economic globalization and regionalization, the interaction and influence between science and technology, investment, and economic growth, as well as the increasing penetration of information technology and the internet into people's production and lifestyles, the knowledge economy is driving the tide of economic and social development. Under these conditions, the Western Development Strategy must pursue a "Western Value-Added" path, using new ways of thinking, new policies and legal systems, and new institutional arrangements to ensure that the Western Development Strategy achieves inclusive growth, sustainable value-added development, and leapfrog progress. The government should skillfully use both the "visible hand" and the "invisible hand," establishing reasonable incentive mechanisms to create an inherent attraction for investors and operators, thereby creating "profit" and development opportunities. Enterprises should be market-oriented and seek advantages in competition. Users should adhere to market rules and laws, acting as rational investors and consumers. From the perspectives of economics and strategic development, this book analyzes and studies the main issues faced in the economic development of the Western region, offering unique insights and relevant countermeasures and suggestions. It provides new revelations and certain value for the implementation and in-depth research of the Western Development Strategy. The book is rich in content, well-documented, and logically structured, possessing certain theoretical value and standards. It is suitable for reference by policy researchers, regional development researchers, university teachers and students, as well as a broad range of economic and administrative management cadres and business professionals.
