Features: This book is a professional basic course textbook organized by the Teaching Guidance Committee of Chemical Engineering and Technology for higher education institutions, based on the teaching plan of the Chemical Engineering and Technology program. Starting from the commonalities of separation processes, it systematically discusses the fundamental theories, process characteristics, mathematical models, and solution methods of common separation processes, including single-stage equilibrium, analysis and simplified calculations of multi-component multi-stage separation processes, and rigorous calculations of multi-component multi-stage separation processes. It then explores the processing capacity and efficiency of separation equipment, energy-saving technologies for separation processes, and the selection of separation processes. After briefly introducing other separation technologies such as membrane separation and adsorption, it elaborates on the principles for selecting separation processes. The book consists of seven chapters, each containing a certain number of examples and exercises. The appendix includes commonly used calculation programs to facilitate the understanding and application of the book's content.
