Patient's question:
I don't know what's going on, but my child has been misbehaving lately and crying non-stop. Even the hospital check-up didn't help. Could you please tell me what are the symptoms of infant hemangioma?Doctor's answer:
1. Nevus of Ota: Histopathology shows clustered, dilated capillaries and mature endothelial cells in the upper and middle dermis, but without endothelial cell hyperplasia.2. Capillary hemangioma: Visible proliferated capillaries and large, multilayered endothelial cells. In some areas of significant proliferation, the lumen is small and unclear, which later undergoes fibrosis.
3. Cavernous hemangioma: Widely dilated, thin-walled, large, and irregular vascular spaces are observed, resembling venous sinuses. Endothelial cell hyperplasia is minimal, while the outer membrane is thickened, forming a fibrous thick wall.
