It is a professional basic course textbook for economic and management majors in higher vocational and technical colleges across the country. Basic accounting is a necessary professional foundation for studying specialized fields, especially for accounting majors as an essential introductory knowledge. This book can also be used as a self-study reference for economic and management personnel. The textbook is characterized by its practicality and strong operational focus. In terms of the application of accounting subjects and accounting processing, it is based on the "Enterprise Accounting System" implemented in China on January 1, 2001, and fully considers the content alignment with the "Financial Accounting Tutorial" in the higher vocational and technical textbook series. This textbook covers the basic theories, fundamental methods, and basic operational techniques of accounting. The modern accounting theory system is rich in content and covers a broad scope. Beginners in accounting theory learning should progress from simple to complex in a systematic manner. This book focuses on the foundational aspects of accounting theory, specifically the double-entry bookkeeping theory and its application in accounting, providing students with a preliminary understanding of the accounting cycle and laying a foundation for subsequent courses. In the introduction to basic accounting methods, only the fundamental methods of accounting are described, namely the procedures and methods of recording, calculating, and reporting accounts. As for accounting forecasting, decision-making, and analysis methods, these are left for later courses to address. In terms of basic operational techniques, this book only explains manual techniques. Each chapter includes examples to help students learn and reinforce the content covered. In the chapter on accounting processing procedures (Chapter 12), a complete set of examples is provided to assist students in mastering and solidifying the knowledge from the preceding chapters.
