Features: Tibetan medicine is one of the important components of Tibetan Buddhist culture. Tibetan Buddhist culture originated and developed in the specific natural geographical environment, political and economic conditions, and ideological and cultural atmosphere of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. However, its influence is not limited to the Tibetan region in the snowy land. It is also not confined to the Tibetan people alone. Throughout history, Tibetan Buddhist culture has not only permeated the three Tibetan lands of Amdo, Kham, and Utsang but has also spread far to the present-day regions of the Tu, Naxi, Mongolian, and Manchu peoples, as well as to Bhutan, Sikkim, Nepal, the Baltistan region of Pakistan, Mongolia, and the Central Asian and Far Eastern regions of the former Soviet Union, among others. In the vast alpine grassland area of Central Asia, a highly enchanting Tibetan Buddhist cultural sphere has formed. This cultural sphere has been connected since ancient times with Eastern civilizations such as the Yellow River civilization of the Central Plains and the Ganges civilization of India. The Mongolian people are the largest ethnic group in the Tibetan Buddhist cultural sphere in terms of both area and population.
