Features: The standard set by art colleges for admissions is to assess candidates' relative realistic basic skills and artistic expression abilities. Is there a relatively clear standard? The answer is yes. Whether candidates have mastered basic shaping skills is generally judged from the following aspects:
1. Shaping and Expression Ability of Forms Whether the structural features and spatial relationships of objects in the painting are fully or well expressed.
2. Overall Perception and Coordination Ability Whether the rhythm of black, white, and gray in the painting's form expression is harmonious, whether the primary and secondary relationships are sufficiently expressed, and whether the painting is cohesive.
3. Basic Texture Expression Ability Whether the basic characteristics between forms are well expressed. These aspects are interconnected. If candidates can generally meet these criteria, their scores will be relatively high. Excessive exaggeration or distortion is unrealistic.
This book selects some outstanding exam papers from last year's art college exams, allowing candidates preparing to apply to art colleges to understand the basic evaluation criteria set by art colleges. Candidates can then identify the gaps between themselves and these criteria. Additionally, it provides in-depth analysis of outstanding works by first-year and high school students at art colleges to help candidates broaden their horizons, find the right path, boost their confidence, and ultimately secure the key to entering the doors of art colleges.
