Before rebirth, if you could freely choose one as a companion for your birth, which would you choose? Especially, if you are born as a "daughter"? I asked one hundred people, and not surprisingly, ninety-nine of them absolutely wanted beauty, not the useless "talent." Because talent is of no use to women, while beauty could be the guarantee of a happy half-life. Who can refute this claim? After all, the daughter of the Liu family in Luoyang once again confirmed this fact. The senior secretary Liu Shichun had two daughters; as if played a joke by heaven, one was incredibly beautiful but talentless, and the other was highly talented but unattractive. The stunning eldest daughter of the Liu family, Liu Jiyue, was famous at the age of fourteen. Wealthy young masters from all over the country almost broke down the doors and walls of the Liu family just to see her beauty and marry her. Of course, such a beloved beauty couldn’t stay long. At fifteen, she was snatched away by the eldest son of the Chief Secretary, Tang Zhongxuan, which was truly a pity. Six months later, when the crown prince was selecting his consort, he was famous for the eldest daughter of the Liu family’s peerless beauty and issued an edict to bring her to the palace for the crown prince’s selection. But he found out that the beauty was already married, otherwise, Liu Shichun would have been the uncle-in-law of the country by now.
