Patient's question:
My child is only two years old and has contracted hepatitis B (). His liver function is normal, but he carries 200 million virus particles. Can he take medication?Doctor's answer:
Hello, there is currently no cure for hepatitis B. As long as liver function tests are normal, treatment is not necessary. Advice: Patients with normal liver function are in immune tolerance, most liver damage is mild, and the benefits of treatment are extremely limited. It is not ideal from both an economic and a therapeutic perspective. Therefore, treatment should be tailored to different stages and timing. Regular follow-up of liver function tests and liver/spleen ultrasound is sufficient.
