With China's economic system transition, hospital management concepts are continuously updated, and related theoretical research has advanced rapidly. To meet the teaching needs of TCM universities and the management requirements of TCM hospitals, universities across the country urgently needed to jointly compile a textbook on TCM hospital management, catering to the teaching of TCM higher education management majors, undergraduate TCM programs, and continuing education for TCM hospital managers. This textbook was co-authored by experts, professors, and scholars from TCM universities such as Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As a project approved by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission in 2002 for a high-quality textbook, its key features are based on modern hospital management theories and methods, as well as the latest research findings on hospital management both domestically and internationally. It closely aligns with the actual reforms and development of hospitals in China and incorporates national health reform policies, aiming to achieve innovative concepts, strong practicality, good operability, and relatively comprehensive content.
