Is breastfeeding good for babies?

Patient's question:

After my son was born, I never had milk, so I had to rely on formula feeding. Later, after some adjustments, I started producing milk, but not much. My son struggled to suck, so he was reluctant to eat. My mother-in-law suggested just giving him formula directly. I wanted to do that too, but I remember seeing in a book during my pregnancy that breastfeeding is best for the child. Is exclusive breastfeeding really the best for the child?

Doctor's answer:

Yes, breast milk is the most nutritionally suitable for infants and the most natural, freshest, and hygienic infant food. Although scientific implementation has allowed us to have many brands of infant formula, no matter how much these infant formulas expand through testing, they cannot match breast milk, which has been continuously refined through a process that has undergone millions of years of clinical trials. For mothers, the most important thing is that infants who are breastfed tend to have better physical and mental health as well as intellectual development. I suggest you must endure your thoughts and breastfeed.
