New Japanese Basic Course (2) Study Guide

Author: (Japan) Overseas Technical Trainees Association
Publisher:
Publish Date: 1998-09-01
Features: After the 1980s, with the rise of the Japanese language fever abroad, many trainees had already studied Japanese before coming to Japan, and companies also hoped that trainees could master the high-level Japanese skills required for learning technology. At the same time, many institutions both inside and outside the association, which used the New Japanese Basic Course 1 & 2, also requested us to write an intermediate textbook following the beginner's course. Therefore, to meet the demands of the new era, we began developing the intermediate textbook in 1992 and, after repeated internal discussions and trials, completed the writing of Japanese Intermediate Course. This textbook is aimed at students who have completed New Japanese Basic Course 1 & 2. Its purpose is to systematically summarize the knowledge learned, help students master practical conversational skills in daily life, and enable them to communicate fully with Japanese people. This book was written for the technical training of the association, but we believe that students who have completed the beginner level in ordinary Japanese educational institutions and are transitioning to the intermediate level can also use this textbook to achieve the goal of improving their Japanese skills smoothly and in stages. During the writing process of this book, we used the original textbook as a reference and made slight adjustments to the structure to facilitate learner use. The book is divided into four parts, including the following content: Part 1: Vocabulary List (new words and their definitions for each lesson), Part 2: Translation (Chinese translations of learning objectives, learning items, dialogues, and key reading content for each lesson), Part 3: Language Knowledge, Part 4: Answers, Listening Text Materials (answers to exercises in the text and written materials for the listening section).
