Features: 3DSMAX4.0 is the newest version of the 3DStudioMax series and can run on Windows 98/NT/2000/XP operating systems. 3DSMAX4.0 inherits the features of previous versions while adding many new ones, such as a completely new extended inverse kinematics (IK) structure, support for Direct3D, single-sided multi-texturing, transparent mapping, Phong highlights, enhanced character deformation, and a new visual shading bone system. At the same time, many new functions have been added in modeling, view interaction, material mapping, and rendering. These new features and enhancements make 3DSMAX4.0 more powerful in scene and animation creation, as well as more user-friendly.
