At the age of four, he moved to Vienna, where he spent most of his life. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Vienna and later dedicated himself to the study of neurology and psychiatry. He passed away in London in 1939 at the age of 83. Freud's original psychoanalytic theory made outstanding contributions not only to psychology but also influenced almost every field of human knowledge, particularly in literature, art, aesthetics, psychology, and medicine. Freud's works are extensive, with major works including The Interpretation of Dreams, Psychological Analysis of Everyday Life, The Case of Little Dora, Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality·Psychology of Love, Totem and Taboo, Introduction to Psychoanalysis, Studies on Hysteria (1895), The Interpretation of Dreams (1900), Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality (1905), On the Unconscious (1915), The Ego and the Id (1923), Inxiety (1926), and The Ego and Defense Mechanisms (1936), which have had a profound impact on later generations. His psychological theories are not merely philosophy in the general sense, nor do they differ from general psychology; they are primarily theories of psychiatric treatment. Reading Freud's works enables us to understand the roots of certain mental illnesses caused by modern life, thereby effectively regulating and improving our lives.
