Features: This book selects a portion of representative examination papers from various subjects and majors in recent years, with both strengths and weaknesses, as a certain showcase of our institution's student pool. Since these papers are chosen from tens of thousands over the years, it is impossible to label each with the candidate's name. Moreover, a single subject score cannot represent a candidate's overall performance in the professional examination, and professional scores are not the only criterion for admission. Cultural performance and other admission conditions are also considered. Therefore, it is possible that some candidates with excellent scores in individual subjects may ultimately fail to be admitted due to overall performance or cultural scores. However, for the sake of objectivity and fairness, we still make them public. While it may be a pity for such candidates, it undoubtedly serves as encouragement and motivation for future applicants.
Shanghai University of Arts and Design, given its important position among art institutions in Shanghai, has seen a steady increase in the number of applicants each year. In 2002, the number of registrations reached over 4,700, while the number of admission spots was only around 270. Some popular majors even had a ratio of 1 admission spot to 40 applicants. These figures not only reflect our institution's status in the hearts of candidates but also show that art majors have become a pursuit and aspiration for young students in the modern era. Of course, on the other side, they also highlight the difficulty of applying to our institution. Therefore, the publication of this book is highly beneficial for all candidates. It can serve as a reference for candidates preparing to take the entrance exams for our majors, allowing them to assess their own professional level. By studying and observing these papers, they can clarify their goals, boost their confidence, identify their gaps, and formulate effective study strategies.
