Publishing Date: Not Available
Features: As a mathematical reference book, what special features should this monumental handbook possess? During the compilation process, a consensus was reached between the publisher's management and us, that the handbook should be scientific, advanced, practical, standardized, and concise. Over 200 authors and reviewers worked hard in accordance with these characteristics and requirements. We would like to express our gratitude for their collaborative efforts, which have basically embodied the desired features mentioned above. This series is a key publishing project under China's "Nineteen-Ninety-Five" Plan. For the convenience of readers in purchasing and using the handbook, it is published in five volumes, titled "Classical Mathematics," "Modern Mathematics," "Computer Mathematics," "Stochastic Mathematics," and "Economic Mathematics." It should be noted that the categorization of the various branches (chapters) is relative, and consideration has been given to balancing the length of each volume. For example, the chapter on "Monte Carlo Method" could also be included in the "Computer Mathematics" volume.
