How to deal with a senior high school student who always goes out?

Patient's question:

The child is in their second year of high school. Recently, the child has been frequently going out, hanging out with classmates, eating dinner outside, and not coming home. They don't practice what they're supposed to, saying they have psychological blocks they can't break. They feel their parents are too strict with them, but when they're with classmates, they lack restraint. However, not intervening isn't an option either. I'd like to seek some counseling.

Doctor's answer:

After a child enters puberty, the secretion of hormones in their body increases, which can lead to endocrine disorders and consequently re-emerge with the aggressive behavior typical of adolescence. With an immature mind and poor self-control, it becomes inevitable that they will indulge in play and avoid practice. Parents should adopt appropriate methods to communicate more with their children, educate and guide them to set lofty goals, correct their attitude towards learning, and balance work and rest.
