Features: Tourism is an important cultural lifestyle and a healthy means of leisure and recreation for residents worldwide. As the global economy develops, the number of people participating in tourism continues to grow, making the tourism industry one of the largest and most promising sectors globally. It has been prioritized by governments worldwide. Although China's tourism industry started relatively late, its development has been rapid and has achieved remarkable results. Currently, more than 20 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China have designated tourism as a pillar, key, or leading industry, recognizing it as one of the new growth drivers of the economy. To better support the development of China's tourism industry, we have decided to revise the book "China Tourism Economic Geography." Since its publication in September 1995, the book has received praise from leaders in relevant departments and some university faculty and students, with positive feedback from the market. The book discusses the current status and future prospects of China's tourism industry, its significant role in the economy and society, the distribution patterns of tourism resources in "Beautiful China" and the characteristics of tourism route layout, as well as the geographical conditions and economic foundations for tourism development in each province, municipality, and autonomous region. It also covers the development level of the tourism industry, the features of tourism products, the development and utilization of tourist attractions, and the reasonable layout of tourism routes, among other topics.
