Since its inception in 1984, the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) has seen an increasing number of candidates from China each year, with the difficulty of grammar questions gradually rising. Due to its scientific rigor and authority, the test results have been highly regarded by the professional Japanese education community in China. Performance in the test has become an important standard for evaluating the Japanese proficiency of students majoring in Japanese. Additionally, many foreign-invested enterprises and foreign-related departments place great emphasis on test scores when hiring employees.
To prepare for the proficiency test, various reference books have been published domestically, but unfortunately, almost all of them are exercise collections, and no official book explaining sentence patterns has been formally released. In response to this situation, the author of this book, while referring to the "Question Setting Guidelines for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test" by the Japan International Cooperation Agency for the Junior and Senior levels, has consulted dozens of books from both domestically and internationally to provide example sentences for all sentence patterns. A substantial number of additional sentence patterns at the same level have also been supplemented. On this basis, several Japanese language experts were invited to provide further revisions and corrections. After two years of trial use, the results were excellent, and students reported that the material was of great reference value.
Furthermore, the sentence patterns in this book are accompanied by reference translations and are arranged in a graded manner for easy lookup, making it a valuable self-study reference for Japanese majors, teachers, and enthusiasts. It also holds significant reference value for foreign language proficiency tests (WSK) and university Japanese unified exams (Level 4 and 6) in China.
