Features: The Ningxia volume of the Compendium of Natural Resources of China was compiled by the Land Resources Department of the Development and Reform Commission of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and the Land Consolidation Office, following the unified work plan and requirements formulated by the General Editorial Committee of the Compendium of Natural Resources of China. Based on the original Land and Resources of Ningxia, the volume collected, organized, and supplemented some new resource data. Ningxia is rich in land resources, coal resources, and non-metallic mineral resources, which are its resource advantages. Clarifying the inventory of natural resources, studying the prospects for their development, and formulating strategies for conservation and protection are of great significance for accelerating the Yellow River economic development in Ningxia and achieving the second and third strategic goals of modernization construction. The Ningxia volume is divided into ten chapters. Due to the small area and population of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, with only 2 prefectures, 2 cities, 18 counties (cities), and 6 municipal districts under its jurisdiction, this volume is divided into two parts—comprehensive and resources.
