Features: After completing his paintings, the author did not sign his name on the works. Over time, the creator gradually faded into oblivion. Later generations, unable to verify the true creators of these works, had to refer to them as "Anonymous." The "Eighty-Seven Immortals Scroll" collected by Xu Beihong is a famous anonymous artwork. From the perspective of painting art, anonymous paintings and signed works are no different. However, during their transmission, they have had different fates. Generations of collectors and art historians have focused on famous works, especially those by renowned masters, while often disregarding anonymous paintings. As a result, under such circumstances, a large number of ancient anonymous paintings disappeared during their circulation. This situation persisted until the Ming Dynasty, when it gradually attracted the attention of collectors. The great collector Xiang Zijing made significant contributions to the cataloging and preservation of anonymous paintings.
