Features: This is an era where public opinion comes first, a society that values consumption, and a time when research is everywhere. This era demands that each of us masters the basic tools to understand others, recognize society, and seize business opportunities. This tool is research. In society, in the marketplace, and in interactions, relying solely on intuition will inevitably lead to by the market and society. Since this is an era where public opinion comes first, understanding public opinion through research is the fundamental duty of the government and civil servants. Public hearings are based on research. Superficial research is outdated. Providing professional research techniques is the requirement of the times. The emergence of a buyer's market in China has made consumers the gods. Understanding consumer needs, grasping market trends, improving service satisfaction, and expanding product market share are the winning strategies for businesses to face fierce market competition. Therefore, market research has flourished across China. As a basic tool for understanding society, seizing business opportunities, and knowing others, research is not only essential for government civil servants, market research personnel in enterprises, and professional researchers but also a compulsory course in China's universities and colleges. In modern society, research is becoming a fundamental literacy for the public; it is also growing into a booming industry. As a sociologist, I am happy to promote the popularization of sociological knowledge, including research knowledge, because the popularization of social science knowledge should be an important part of science popularization. As a sociologist, I also appreciate and support the efforts to industrialize research. Guo Qiang is a Ph.D. student I supervised, and he is willing to spread and popularize research knowledge, as well as the practice of industrializing research, which I fully support. Compared to similar publications, I believe this series has several features: First is refinement, as this book covers all aspects of research in detail. Second is operability, as reading this book allows you to use and implement it in practical work, which gives it value and meaning. At the same time, this series also includes many case studies, which is another feature. Learning from case studies is a key aspect of highlighting operability. This manual is a reference book for understanding and applying research report writing knowledge. The target audience is sociology students with social science knowledge, who can benefit greatly from it, as well as social workers who have recently entered the research or practical work field. Based on this purpose, conciseness, brevity, clarity, and practicality have become the greatest characteristics of this manual. Starting from the perspective of research practice, this manual introduces classic and vivid case studies in a concise manner, designs professional knowledge questions for writing research reports, such as how to choose topics, formulate titles, start and conclude, and present arguments, and introduces various practical methods and techniques for writing research reports to achieve the goals of disseminating knowledge, exchanging experiences, and inspiring ideas. This manual is easy to understand and highly practical, combining both down-to-earth theoretical depth and strong operability, making it an extremely useful reference book. Anyone who wants to understand research report writing and conduct social science research can read this manual.
