Features: The incidence of malignant tumors is on the rise. Due to the combined effects of various factors such as environment, mental stress, and unhealthy lifestyles, as well as the premature arrival of population aging, the high incidence of malignant tumors remains uncontrolled. According to the National Health Statistics Information Center of the Ministry of Health, the mortality rate of malignant tumors in urban areas increased from 128.08 per 100,000 in 1994 to 135.59 per 100,000 in 2001. The cause of death ranking rose from second place before 1997 to th place, and the urban population in China has now exceeded half. Therefore, the burden and pressure of tumor clinical care are significant, and the prospects are not optimistic. The consultation time for tumor patients in China is generally delayed, which creates opportunities for tumor metastasis. Some have analyzed from a biological perspective that lung cancer patients have already completed two-thirds of the biological process from the time symptoms appear to the detection of measurable tumors. Moreover, lung cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer, among others, have shown a significant upward trend, and these tumors are prone to metastasis, which has brought many new challenges to clinical treatment. Therefore, studying tumor metastasis is of great value in controlling tumor growth, extending patient survival time, and improving quality of life. However, studying tumor metastasis is not an easy task. Firstly, the mechanisms of tumor occurrence are still unclear, and studying tumor metastasis is a more complex topic than studying tumor mechanisms. Clinical phenomena are intricate, mechanistic discussions are diverse, and research methods are ever-evolving. Nevertheless, tumor metastasis is indeed an urgent and pressing major difficult issue, and few are willing to tackle this hard nut, let alone those who dare to specialize in this field. Professor Wang Wenping’s willingness to explore tumor metastasis is truly commendable. As a clinical physician, she eagerly hopes that more scholars will contribute more to the exploration of tumor mechanisms, clinical treatment, and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine to provide more means for improving clinical treatment effectiveness. Dr. Wang Wenping is a bold and exploratory young and middle-aged chief physician who has studied abroad and possesses extensive knowledge in both clinical and basic research. This book focuses on primary malignant tumors that are prone to metastasis and metastatic tumors that easily become metastatic organs, respectively, to explore the laws of tumor metastasis from various perspectives. It aims to provide some guidance for clinical workers in diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis, making it a valuable reference for the study of tumor metastasis. We wish this book to make contributions to tumor clinical work. This book is divided into three parts. The first part discusses the epidemiology and clinical characteristics of tumor metastasis; the second part focuses on common malignant tumors that are prone to metastasis and metastatic tumors that easily become metastatic organs, elaborating on them from seven aspects, including differential diagnosis.
