Features: Wuzhen is administered by Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province, and is located to the north of Wujiang in southern Jiangsu. With a long history, it is known as a thousand-year-old ancient town. It was an ancient water transportation hub where silk, cloth, and grain trades flourished during the Ming and Qing dynasties, making it a bustling commercial center. In the renovation of Wuzhen Ancient Town, efforts were made to authentically restore its historical appearance. The old wooden pillars, wooden window lattices, and roof tiles used in the town's streets and alleys were all collected from nearby rural areas as salvaged materials. Instead of adopting large-scale demolition and reconstruction, the town used a method of repairing only what was damaged, adhering to the principle of "preserving the old as it was, to retain its authenticity." This approach helped recreate the town's former charm.
